Memory holder

Your presence fades
Like smoke
To keep it close
I speak of you,
I think of you.
You may be gone
Yet live in me.
I’m a memory holder,
A memory keeper
A memory hoarder
A memory reaper
To catch your smile,
cradle it close,
Your silly thoughts
Your brilliant mind
To make you mine
Though you are gone

Slowly, gently, waves fade
Earlier, the engine’s vibration
Penetrated my insides
Its energy moving me,
thunderously shaking me
Now faded
